Passeggiata di tre ore fra I Navigli, scenario di scatti erotici rubati. Il fotografo Alan Marcheselli sarà il tutor e assieme alla modella Numa.ink, vi aiuterà a realizzare indimenticabili istantanee.

An evocative three-hour demonstration in which photographer Dave Shrimpton and model Moon Child 777 will show how they recreate their world in an instant.

A three-hour walk through the Navigli, setting for stolen erotic shots. Photographer Alan Marcheselli will be the tutor and together with model Numa.ink, he will help you create unforgettable instants.

Dave Shrimpton è un fotografo ritrattista, di persone e di strada. Utilizza fotocamere vintage e classiche dal 1890 al 1970, sia in esterni che nel suo studio di Cambridge. Dave lavora con pellicole di grande e medio formato e usa anche il processo al collodio umido del 1851 per catturare immagini su vetro, metallo e Perspex.
La rivoluzione digitale non ha solo migliorato notevolmente la qualità delle immagini, ma ha anche aperto le porte a un nuovo mondo di possibilità creative. Le fotocamere DSLR e gli smartphone apparentemente ci rendono tutti fotografi professionisti. Possiamo scattare rapidamente più foto e ritagliare o eliminare rapidamente ciò che non ci piace. Ma nel mondo usa e getta di oggi, è importante non sottovalutare il valore della contemplazione e della composizione.
La nostalgia per un'epoca in cui la fotografia era meno incentrata sui risultati immediati ha portato Dave a riallacciare i contatti con i metodi fotografici del passato usando fotocamere vintage. Un'immagine che passa attraverso l'obiettivo di una tale fotocamera viene elaborata in una camera oscura dalle mani esperte del tecnico. Il risultato finale dovrebbe essere valutato come un'opera d'arte unica.
Dave è stato a lungo ispirato da artisti influenti come Man Ray e Dorothea Lange per la sua fotografia su pellicola di grande formato e da Vivien Mayer per la sua fotografia di strada di medio formato Rolleiflex
Nel 2016 è arrivato secondo al concorso "Street Photography" della Royal Academy of Arts e selezionato per i British Photography Awards del 2017 (entrambi realizzati con fotocamere a pellicola).
Le recenti mostre personali di Dave hanno presentato un'istantanea del suo viaggio fotografico dalla pellicola al digitale per poi tornare alla pellicola. Le mostre hanno anche dimostrato l'arte della fotografia su latta, vetro e Perspex.
Le avventure più recenti riguardano l'esplorazione del collodio umido, scattato con un tocco moderno.
Utilizza anche una Graflex Crown Graphic del 1948 con un dorso Instax Wide e per la collettiva (ə)Uncensored è in mostra con noi con alcune Instax in collaborazione con Moonchild 777.
Dave Shrimpton is a portrait, people and street photographer who uses vintage and classic cameras from 1890-1970, both on location and in his Cambridge studio. Dave works in large and medium format film and also uses the 1851 wet plate collodion process to capture images on glass, metal and Perspex.
The digital revolution has not only dramatically improved the quality of images; it has also opened the door to a new world of creative possibilities. DSLR cameras and smartphones seemingly make professional photographers out of all of us. We can take rapid multiple shots and quickly crop or delete what we don’t like. But in today’s disposable world, it is important not to overlook the value of contemplation and composition.
Nostalgia for an era when photography was less about instant results led Dave to reconnect with photographic methods of the past using vintage cameras. An image that passes through the lens of such a camera is processed in a dark room by the skilled hands of the technician. The end result should be valued as a unique piece of artwork.
Dave has long been inspired by influential artists such as Man Ray and Dorothea Lange for his large format film photography and by Vivien Mayer for his Rolleiflex medium format street photography
In 2016 he was flattered to be runner up in the Royal Academy of Arts ‘Street Photography’ competition and shortlisted for the 2017 British Photography Awards (both taken on film cameras).
Dave’s recent solo exhibitions presented a snapshot of his photographic journey from film to digital then returning back to film. The exhibits also demonstrated the art of photographing on to tin, glass and Perspex.
Most recent adventures involve the exploration of wet plate photography, shot with a modern twist.
He also uses a 1948 Graflex Crown Graphic with an Instax Wide back and for the (ə)Uncensored Exhibition he’s on display with us with some Instax in collab with Moonchild 777.
